According to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA)approximately 40,000 children are injured on playgrounds annually, with many incidents being preventable. Awareness of common play equipment dangers can help caregivers and playground inspectors prevent avoidable accidents and injuries in the future.

Sovereign Play, an outdoor play equipment and surfaces provider, has looked into the most prevalent risks associated with playgrounds and play equipment while offering expert advice to ensure safer play environments.

Darran Hine, Sales Director at Sovereign Play commented: “Swings, slides, and fireman’s poles are exciting features but can sometimes lead to accidents due to their movement, speed, or height.
